This project focuses on preserving, transcribing, and contextualizing a Sevillian Antiphonal used in Spanish convents in the sixteenth century. This antiphonal is a continuation of the rich history of the Catholic Church, and the development of vocal performance. This site describes the specific applications and users of this text in contextualizing essays. Additionally, it includes images and transcriptions of hand-chosen pages. Finally, this project contains a 3D depiction of the antiphonal to provide specific visualization of this work.  This Sevillian Antiphonal currently resides in the Rare Book Collection at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.

The Seville Antiphonal Project aims to preserve and recover the deep-rooted history of Seville, Spain, through a Franciscan choir book during the 16th century. By utilizing digital imaging, transcriptions, and comprehensive analysis, this project strives to make knowledge about the Seville Antiphonal accessible to individuals yearning for a deeper understanding, employing visual aids and rhetorical techniques.
